As one of my friends pointed out, you won’t realize your weakness unless you take the test. I took a Princeton test and here are the results.
Score - 570
Quant - 44
Verbal - 23
Not an impressive score for sure, but learned a couple of things and hence strategize my preparation plans.
1) Need to improve my patience level as well as stamina. So I have decided to take tests on every weekend simulating the original test atmosphere.
2) Improve RC and CR --> Practice, Practice and Practice. Kaplan should be a good bet for RC and CR.
3) Keep doing short tests in RC, CR and SC - This will help me to stick on with time limit and plot an accuracy graph. Need to touch 90% accuracy consistently before Apr 20th.
4) Quants - A score of 50 is quite achievable. Will start doing tougher questions from the CAT papers.

Practice, Practice and Practice
ther u've said it. that's all it takes to score high in GMAT really. And i remember scoring much lesser on the princeton review tests than i did on the actual GMAT. the 2 sample tests from mba.com are closer to the gmat...
I think most of the applicant bloggers have done posts on their gmat prep. u cud check them out for tips. here's mine :)

570 with the first Princeton test is not bad. Well, not good too :)
As u said, keep practicing and u'll see urself improving.

I started off with 580 on my first test. Scored a 760. Dont worry, and practice hard. Get those Math scores to 50s and you will see drastic change in your scores.

Be active in answering questions and posting questions on Scorechase... that way our mistakes are corrected by someone and we dont make them anymore.

do you have Manhattan SC, its a good book, procure it as soon as possible.
Awesome, I saw your math is around 44, get it to a consistent 50+. You will see that math scores below 47 tend to penalize you a lot more. So if u had same verbal but had 49-51 in Math, you would have scored about 50 more points on GMAT (Guardian's suggestion to me when I prepared. I scored in 500s too on my first test).
Also promote the website, they are not marketing it enough, but more participation will help you only.

Agreed, to catch hold of the tutors, the best way is to pm them, its hard for them to monitor every post (lots of posts).
Sneha is the best .... pm her, she will definitely respond [evening EST] she is usually online after office hrs. Sneha was a boon to my prep too. But pm her, thats the best way to bring tutor's attentions to your particular question.
I dont know much about tinman, he is from insead but he is fairly new and quite reserved.
